Crestron XiO Platform named IoT Partner of Year with Microsoft

Crestron’s work with the Azure hub from Microsoft earned them a Microsoft Partner of the Year distinction. Nic Milani of Crestron tells AV Nation’s Matt Scott about the developments. The solution delivers uninterrupted hyperconnectivity between servers and devices. Information transfers information at a much more rapid rate, and it can be handled remotely.

Their SDK, Software Development Kit, further demonstrates Crestron’s commitment to partnership. The kit allows a customer’s software developers to write to Crestron hardware. The security protocols will work with a client’s platform, providing a hardware solution for whatever software the client needs.

In the XiO Cloud, Crestron has also added the ability to remote control any of their touch panel solutions. The changes made remotely also show up on the tech’s remote panel, so all parties are notified of changes. In real time, techs can communicate won issues so it can used as a support platform as well.

AVNation is a collective of audiovisual professionals. Our hosts, panelists, writers, and producers all work in the AV industry in some capacity. That gives us a unique perspective on the industry and allows us to ask questions end users, technology managers, IT managers, and AV integrators would ask. Our coverage of InfoComm 2019 comes from these points of view. Everything we are able to do is made possible by our supporters who provide the financial support for AVNation. We are always looking for new voices. If you want to have your point of view heard contact us by clicking here. Let us know who you are and what you have to say.
