Almo celebrates 10 years with award-winning InfoComm 2019

Almo picks up several industry awards

Philadelphia, PA — June 24, 2019 — Earlier this month at the AVIXA™ 2019 InfoComm Show, Almo Professional A/V celebrated its decade-long milestone of providing value-added distribution services to the AV industry with an in-booth celebration, an epic anniversary cake featuring life-like AV equipment, and a donation check for the AVIXA Michael Vergauwen Scholarship program

During InfoComm, Almo Professional A/V was named, 2019 rAVe Readers’ Choice Best Distributor for the eighth year in a row, as voted on by 88,000 members of the AV community. Almo’s traveling E4 Experience was also named a 2019 Commercial Integrator BEST in the category of Training, Consulting & Publications/Business Services.

“A decade ago, we came to InfoComm to announce the formation of a new distribution company, created to elevate the role and the value of the distributor in the Pro AV chain,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V. “We had zero inventory, zero customers and an enormous dream. Today, we stand proud with $500M in revenue, well over 100 employees, 6,000+ customers and 40 key vendor partnerships, some of which are exclusive to Almo. We are proud to have a fleet of 16 Business Development Managers on hand to provide specialized product knowledge and technical expertise, and we offer many revenue-generating services to help our partners continue to grow and profit.”

Taylor continued, “We feel that it’s absolutely critical to give back to our industry by investing in the next generation of AV professionals, which is why we donate to the Michael Vergauwen scholarship program each year. In making these donations, our hope is that the pool of talent and the career opportunities for those looking to pursue a career in AV continue to flourish and benefit our industry.”

Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing and communication for Almo Corporation added, “It is a privilege to be voted the rAVe Readers’ Choice Best Distributor by the industry again and to have the E4 Experience earn another CI BEST award. Our goal in aligning with AVIXA on the E4s is to travel to major cities where our partners are located to bring them free, high quality education. We look forward to bringing the E4 Experience to the New York Metro area on September 25 and Atlanta on October 15 where attendees will have access to many of the products that debuted on the InfoComm show floor.”

This year at InfoComm, Almo was also the exclusive sponsor of the Opening reception at B.B. King’s. Almo also sponsored a one-time, limited attendance show floor tour led by rAVe founder, Gary Kayye.
