PSNI integrators collaborate on Grifol integration project in Prague

Ditec and KMC delivered custom video conferencing and presentation solutions for the new office space

Here’s a global audiovisual deployment riddle. If your headquarters are in Spain—and so is your favorite integrator—but you need help outfitting a new office in the Czech Republic, who do you call?

The answer: If your local integrator is a member of PSNI Global Alliance, you can partner with them no matter where the project leads because a PSNI integrator has the capabilities to lead large global deployments with their partners around the world.

Here’s how membership in the PSNI Global Alliance helped Spain-based Ditec Comunicaciones execute a successful global AV deployment for their long-time client, Grifols.

The Challenge

A multinational healthcare company specializing in plasma-derived medications and transfusion medicine Grifols services patients all over the world.  The global healthcare leader operates subsidiaries in 30 countries and regions and has 13 production facilities around those numbers – and continues to grow.

In its newest subsidiary, located in Prague, Czech Republic, Grifols turned to long-time AV integration partner and PSNI Global Alliance Member, Ditec Communicaciones to install and commission their AV solution needs throughout three conference rooms at the new Prague location.

The result of this multi-national endeavor was three fully-equipped and integrated meeting rooms with intuitive presentation and video conferencing capabilities.

Ditec, headquartered in Spain, turned to its PSNI Global Alliance network in order to select a fellow PSNI-member they could collaborate with who could provide the local resources the client needed for this project.  As a long-time partner with Grifols, Ditec needed someone they could trust to deliver the solutions, who would put the client first and would stand behind the PSNI name to be a true partner and for that reason, they chose fellow PSNI partner, KMC for the job.

“Grifols, one of our most important customers, gave us the opportunity to install its meeting rooms in the Czech Republic and, due to its proximity, and as a fellow PSNI member we trusted KMC to be our ideal partner to carry out the project,” said Cristina Juncosa, Business Development Manager of AV Solutions at Ditec Communicaciones. “Our experience with them has been perfect, communication has been very fluent and the result for our end-user has been very satisfactory.”

It was a great partnership from KMC’s perspective as well. Despite the distance and different languages, effective planning and frequent communication ensured a successful rollout.

“We’ve been in this industry for a long time so we know how hard it can be to handle projects with customers. And things can get trickier the more people who are involved,” said Michael Klösch, CTO for KMC. “Considering the fact that, Ditec, is in Spain and the end customer was also in Spain but the rollout took place in the Czech Republic with us—a partner integrator from Austria – it worked out really well.”

The Result

Ditec and KMC worked together to deliver custom video conferencing and presentation solutions for the new office space, while still preserving a single, familiar point of contact for their client.

The result of this multi-national endeavor was three fully-equipped and integrated meeting rooms with intuitive presentation and video conferencing capabilities that connect employees at the new Prague office with their Grifols colleagues around the world. Ditec specified the hardware solutions, and KMC sourced, installed, and integrated them.

The largest conference room features an Epson PowerLite 2255U projector.

The largest conference room features an Epson PowerLite 2255U projector, chosen for its combination of high brightness, good image quality, low noise, and WUXGA resolution. An Inline projection screen—sourced from a local Austrian manufacturer—was installed in a recessed mounting box. The Barco ClickShare CS-100 provides the room with wireless presentation capabilities. Integrated master control resides with an EXTRON MLC 62 RS EU control system.

The focus of the second largest room was video conferencing, so the Ditec/KMC team chose a Samsung QM-N Series 85” LED 4K Ultra HD commercial display and mounted it to the wall with Chief’s large LTM1U brackets. For the video conferencing system itself, KMC installed a Polycom Group 500 system with the camera mounted below the display on a Chief FCA811 shelf accessory.

The smallest of the three rooms features a Samsung QB75N all-in-one digital signage solution mounted on a cart stand for maximum flexibility and the Barco ClickShare for wireless presentation.

According to Klösch, being a member of PSNI Global Alliance means being part of “A global network of trusted professionals that can get the job done at the quality the customer desires and deserves.” PSNI integrators ensure the highest level of quality on every project, thanks to strict global deployment standards, as well as the combined expertise of the vast PSNI network.
