ONELAN to launch Net-Top-Boxes subscription option at ISE 2020

The new software licenses are designed to be both flexible and future-proof

Digital visual communications specialist, ONELAN, is set to build on its worldwide reach and appeal at ISE 2020 with the launch of a widely anticipated subscription-based licensing option for its renowned Net-Top-Boxes and a new range of small form factor signage players.

Strengthening its position as a global leader, ONELAN will give visitors an exclusive introduction to this new subscription option, along with the consolidated Net-Top-Box series.

Tipped to offer businesses of every size an extra competitive advantage, the subscription option will lower the initial cost of investment, enabling customers to assign on-going costs to their operational expenditure budgets.

Offering much more flexibility, it will also support long-term business plans for growth and expansion. As well as ensuring that digital signage networks can hit their growth targets faster, unhampered by upfront costs, the subscription-based licensing option gives advertising and retail networks greater scope to align overhead costs with revenue generation. Managed service providers can also benefit, particularly if they have customers who wish to annualise the cost of deploying digital signage projects.

Transferrable with existing ONELAN licenses for LG webOS, Samsung SSP and BrightSign, the new Net-Top-Box software licenses are designed to be both flexible and future-proof, enabling customers, if and when required, to move them from one hardware to another.

Due to launch by the end of March, the subscription-based licensing options are aligned with the ONELAN SoC subscription prices.

Head of Product Management, Simon Carp, comments, “This is an exciting launch for us, not only enabling us to offer greater support for first-time adopters, but also for customers with ambitious plans for growth.

For some businesses, investing in a one-off capital expenditure just isn’t practical, making it tougher to justify spend for other necessary product and service developments. With our licensing subscription, we make it easier to invest without compromise, giving customers more opportunity to spread the cost and balance their budgets.

We know that our Net-Top-Boxes offer unrivalled multimedia performance and reliability, but now, thanks to our subscription-based licensing option, we can also offer unrivalled flexibility, value and support when it comes to planning and budgeting for this investment.

A prestigious international arena with tremendous reach, ISE 2020 is the perfect platform for this launch. We look forward to introducing visitors to the solution, and to sharing more of its advantages.”
