Yamaha to Present in AV Technology December Webinar

Yamaha’s Senior Field Systems Engineer, Timothy Mackie, will join moderator Cindy Davis and five other panelists in “2023 and Beyond: Defining the Higher Ed Classroom Environment” to discuss the key components required for a successful hybrid learning environment. The webinar will take place virtually on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. EST.

“As we look to 2023, it’s important to honestly assess the trends from the past year and thoroughly dissect the culture of hybrid, both the good and the bad,” said Tim Mackie. “During this webinar, I will stress the importance of high-quality audio in both the workforce and the HyFlex classroom.”

In addition to audio, panelists will define all necessary components of hybrid spaces in 2023 and beyond, including presentation and collaboration systems, video cameras, streaming and recording, bringing remote participants in through displays, and ensuring voice intelligibility and visual inclusion.

Mackie will be joined by Scott Sanders, Business Development Manager at Sennheiser, Ken Eagle, VP of Technologies at Hall Technologies, John Vasaturo, B2B Public Sector Sales at LG, and Joe Way, Ph.D., CTS, Director of Learning Environments Information Technology Services at the University of Southern California. Cindy Davis, Brand and Content Director at AV Technology, will moderate the panel.

“In order to sustain the in-person side of hybrid, classrooms and offices will need to exceed users’ expectations with an attractive, high-tech environment that is conducive to the modern ways we learn and work,” concluded Mackie. “We’ll cover all aspects of this new environment.”

Timothy Mackie, a veteran in the AV industry, has been a Field Systems Engineer at Yamaha Unified Communications since 2014. His versatile background includes IT experience, working in Ethernet network design for early video over IP systems for many years. Before joining Yamaha, Tim worked as a Field System Engineer for Net Streams, ClearOne, and RevoLabs.
