Online Sawzall Course Pending
Even though InfoComm 2022 is mere days away, we are still committed to bring you the latest news coming out of the commercial side of the AV industry. Joining us this week is Business Development Manager for QSC Charmaine Torruella, Senior Sales Support Engineer for Sony Chrissy Sara and Account Manager for Electro Acoustics Luke Jordan.
ClearOne’s board of directors have announced the termination of the company’s CEO Zee Hakimoglu. In her place, Senior Vice President of Research & Development Derek Grahama will serve as interim CEO in the meantime. While the use of termination rather than stepping down is interesting, instead of baseless speculation we’ll ask the simple question: What does this mean for the future of ClearOne? What had led to these proverbial ‘management musical chairs’ happening across other industries as well? Looking at the ripples felt across a business when the people at the top shift.
AtlasIED has opened their aptly-named AtlasIED Academy, an online education platform for audio professionals. This offers information on their products as well as DIY tutorials, design courses and much more. It was designed in mind for both people just entering the industry as well as veterans looking to keep up with the latest technology trends. Through the pandemic we have seen a smattering of different styles to further education within the AV industry. What are the advantages between the different setups, like physical or virtual? Discussing where the industry is headed in regards to education.
