How Can You Say No?
We’ve got some of our favorite in the industry to talk about the latest news coming out of the residential space of AV! Oh, and Brawner’s here too.
First, we take a look at a survey conducted by research firm Parks Associates about data security. CE Pro reports that 79% of households are concerned about privacy issues from smart home devices and other solutions. However, at least 73% of integrators aren’t even protecting themselves or offering cybersecurity options to their clients. Is this a liability issue? Or something more? Discussing cybersecurity and doing what we can to keep our clients and business secure.
Next, Former NBA Champion Dahntay Jones was named Vice President of Pearl Homes smart home company earlier this year. In an interview with Anthony Elio for Residential Tech Today he discusses what led him to look at the AV industry, and what it means to create a standard for what a smart home means for consumers. Looking at entry-level solutions like this and where they fall into our space, and when it’s time to look for integrators to upgrade.
