Matt is off on Canadian adventures with his family. But the news has no time for families or rest, it instead marches on! Thankfully Rich Fregosa (or Uncle Richie) has once more taken up the helm, providing you with the latest stories coming out of the residential side of the AV industry. Joining him this week is Vanco President Mark Corbin and Chief Content Officer for CE Pro Jason Knott.

We start off today with a topic that feels like it’s been done to death, and with good reason. It concerns distributors offering their advice to navigate the AV supply chain issues. We are past the halfway point of the year and it looks like this problem is nowhere near resolving. What is an integrator to do in the midst of this? How are manufacturers and distributors handling things? We take another (and most certainly not our last) look at the supply chain issues and how to navigate those waters for your business.

Rather than dedicate the entire episode to the supply chain situation (though it’s very easy to do) we instead discuss the facets of better networks for working from home and resimercial applications. Part of the article is just a referesher on setting up a solid network in the first place, but adds on the different factors that come into play when a network calls for more secure systems for business work. Discussing what systems needs to be set up for the right job.
