• In talking about the AVIXA financial report a few items to consider. The first is the continued decline of projector sales. The rise of larger displays and their relative costs going down has given way for displays to overtake projectors in a number of areas. Projectors are still popular in large venue, for sizes over 100″, and in education. 
• The Asia/Pacific market has been the talk of InfoComm/AVIXA for the last three years. It is projected to surpass the North American audio visual market in sheer dollars by the end of 2018. This is due to the rise of the middle class as well as the development and expansion of their networks in medium and large corporations throughout the region. As these companies continue to grow and expand, look to this market for innovation.
• We also mentioned both the AVI-SPL/Sharps deal and the Diversified/MCW. George Tucker asked about the rise of large “big boys” in the AV space. SCN every year does a Top 50 integrator list. These are the (self-reported) integration firms who sell the most. As these mergers and acquisitions continue, watch this list. It’s not that SCN will make it smaller but more that you will begin to see some new companies appear on the top of lists such as this because those that were previously there are now under the same umbrella as others.
• Another note. AVI-SPL is poised to be the first $1 billion audio visual integrator in the world.
