Just A Passing-Through Integrator

Joining us this week is Executive Editor for Residential Tech Today Jeremy Glowacki, CEO of Home Theater Advisors Mark Feinberg and CEO of The Source Home Theater Todd Anthony Puma.

CEDIA has opened registration for their annual Tech Summits. These are regional one-day events starting in October in California, Texas in November and Florida in December. And since we just got off the heels of CEDIA Expo 2021 in a way (and are right up against InfoComm 2021) it bears to have the conversation of smaller regional events. Are shows like this more palatable to integrators who happen to be in the neighborhood?

Amazon held their 2021 Amazon Devices and Services live event, showcasing a slew of new products. This included showings from Ring, Echo and even the introduction of Amazon Astro, an intelligent robot for the home. You could arguably compare it to The Jetson’s via Astro but perhaps it’s also more in line with Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy. Either way, it was a showing of innovation and artificial intelligence in the home space. We discuss the most interesting takes from the event.
