Dirac and Klipsch have partnered to bring advanced room-correction technology to Klipsch’s new The Sevens II and The Nines II powered speakers, debuting at CES 2026. By integrating Dirac Live Room Correction, these speakers are designed to automatically optimize sound performance based on the listening environment, helping users achieve clearer audio, better balance, and more consistent bass without complex setup.

For IT and technology-focused audiences, this collaboration highlights how AI-driven software and signal processing can significantly enhance hardware performance. The result is a smarter, more adaptive audio system that delivers high-quality sound across different room sizes and layouts, reinforcing the growing role of software intelligence in consumer electronics.

Swedish audio pioneer Dirac today announced that Klipsch’s new The Sevens II and The Nines II powered speakers, debuting at CES 2026 in Central Hall, Booth #17204, are equipped with Dirac Live Room Correction – making them among the first powered, two-channel speakers to integrate Dirac’s acclaimed room-optimization technology. Dirac Live Bass Control will also be available as a paid upgrade and requires the use of subwoofers.

The Sevens II and The Nines II, successors to Klipsch’s celebrated The Sevens and The Nines powered speakers, deliver an elevated blend of heritage design and modern acoustic innovation. With Dirac Live limited bandwidth included – and the option to upgrade to full bandwidth – the next-generation models give listeners unprecedented control over in-room performance across any space, system layout, or speaker placement.

“Powered speakers like The Sevens II and The Nines II are shaping the future of hi-fi: compact, full-featured, and effortless to integrate,” said Rikard Hellerfelt, Head of BA Consumer Electronics at Dirac. “By adding Dirac Live Room Correction, Klipsch is ensuring listeners experience the true performance of these speakers – no matter the room size, dimensions, or layout. These models help further democratize high-fidelity sound and represent an exciting new milestone for our collaboration.”

The interaction between speakers and the listening room profoundly shapes audio quality. Dirac Live Room Correction uses patented impulse-response and mixed-phase correction algorithms to mitigate room-induced coloration, timing errors, and bass inconsistencies – issues that hardware alone cannot resolve.

With Dirac Live Room Correction, users can expect a larger, more stable sweet spot; more accurate imaging and staging; enhanced clarity and voice intelligibility; and deeper, tighter, more consistent bass. These benefits are especially impactful in modern living spaces where speaker placement is often constrained by furniture, layout, or décor.

Powered by machine learning and AI, Dirac Live Bass Control intelligently co-optimizes a system’s subwoofers and speakers to deliver consistently excellent bass in any listening position. It collects measurement and location data from each subwoofer to map bass distribution, identifies gaps in the sound waves, and redistributes bass evenly across the listening area.

Klipsch’s new powered models build on the strengths of the originals with expanded digital and analog connectivity, integrated room correction, and optional full-bandwidth Dirac Live support.

“Klipsch and Dirac share a belief in authentic, high-fidelity, emotionally engaging sound,” said Paul Jacobs, President and CEO of Klipsch. “By integrating Dirac Live into The Sevens II and The Nines II, we’ve ensured these speakers deliver reference-level performance in any room, so listeners can experience the clarity, dynamics, and impact Klipsch is known for – without compromise.”

Building on the companies’ recent collaborations – including the Klipsch Flexus Core 300 soundbar, which marked Dirac’s entry into the soundbar category – this next integration underscores a shared commitment to bringing premium audio experiences to more listeners across more product categories.

The CES demonstration (Booth 17204/Central Hall) will feature The Nines II.
