Superior quality CD1 (ICR) brain coronal frozen tissue sections from 14 areas are available from Creative Biolabs, as seen in the illustration below. Fresh brain tissues are typically snapped frozen in OCT without the need for a fixative. The tissue slices are put on positively charged glass slides, with two sections per slide, and have a thickness of around 10 µm.
