    At DSE 2019 we talked with Legrand’s Luke Westin about their indoor kiosk. This two-sided solution houses two 55-inch displays. The design team’s goal was to not only provide a solution for housing dual displays but also to make the kiosk easily serviceable. To accomplish this, the front and back can be opened up completely like two large doors. There is also an easily accessible mounting solution in the bottom of the kiosk.

    Kevin Barlow from Draper about their custom LED and LCD mounting solutions. From core to tailor solutions, Draper can help commercial integrators mount pretty much any video wall. Core is Drapers off-the-shelf offering. These are products that are pretty common. Advanced is what Barlow calls “core with a twist”. While tailored solutions are unique solutions. Commercial integrators can contact Draper with an installation and their team can walk you through the design process.

    Talked with Tony Caruso talking about Legrand’s specialized digital signage solutions. There has been a concerted effort within Legrand to engage consultants and integrators who are focused on digital signage. Legrand’s exisitnig product offerings could handle up to 95% of what a typical integrator would need. Their

    Task was to get that last 5 percent. One option was the structure column adapter. These bands wrap around columns to support 7 of current mounts. Commercial integrators can cut the bands in the field. Caruso also discussed the wire mount as well as the soft back covering for displays.

    There are quite a number of displays on the show floor at DSE 2019. Kristin Roubie explains what makes Elo displays different. Elo is focused on displays. Their products range from 10-inches up to 70-inches. Their Android displays have commercial versions which makes the more secure than a consumer Android device.

    Roubie also discusses their Elo Edge Connect. This modular sysem allows integrators to connect micro-USB accessories to the majority of their displays. Most displays have connection points on all four sides for these accessories. The larger displays have connection points on two sides.

  • Seamless by Peerless-AV DSE 2019

    Seamless, by Peerless-AV, is a new program that helps integrators and consultants design and deploy solutions. The first organization to fully take advantage of this program is the minor league association.

    The Seamless program is display agnostic. This fact allows Peerless-AV to specify the display solution that works best in the environment. Customers can contact their Peerless-AV representative to being the process.

    Ahead of Digital Signage Expo, Kevin Barlow from Draper sat down with us to preview the company’s booth. At DSE 2019 Draper will be showcasing their custom AV solutions. Draper will be showing off a custom solution they have developed with NEC for a custom NEC video wall. This was a partnership with SMS Smart Media Solutions. The product offering from Draper has evolved to include options for designers and commercial integrators that include standard solutions through completely custom designs. Watch the video below.

    You can find Elo at booth 3018 during Digital Signage Expo 2019. Kristen Roubie discusses the focus of Elo which includes a focus on interactive displays for retail. Visitors to DSE will also be able to use several real-world systems Elo has deployed at other installations. This includes an APEX-nominated system that was deployed at California Closets.
