    Humly is expanding its lineup of workplace experience solutions with new sensor integrations for its Humly Booking Device and Humly Room Display, aimed at improving office efficiency and comfort. At ISE 2024 (Stand 2W550), Humly is showcasing a new occupancy sensor that detects human presence inside personal meeting spaces like phone booths, automatically updating booking status. Additionally, a new environmental sensor will track air quality, temperature, CO₂ levels, and humidity, giving businesses valuable insights into their workplace conditions through the Humly Control Panel.

    Building on its hotdesking solutions, Humly is also highlighting its PoE and Desk Control accessory, which streamlines power and ergonomic desk adjustments based on user preferences. The Humly Booking Device, with its LED status indicators and touchscreen, continues to offer a seamless booking experience for meeting rooms, desks, and shared spaces.     Introduced at ISE2024, Humly’s growing range of hardware accessories introduce time-saving functions to a businesses’ Humly ecosystem that reduce bottlenecks and inefficiencies where people work. That includes the expansion of sensor technologies within our Humly Booking Device and Humly Room Display premium hardware solutions, which this year at ISE includes a new accessory for the former to detect human presence inside a phone booth-style personal meeting space.

    Humly’s accessory designs leverage sensor integrations to enable specific applications. On its ISE stand, Humly will demonstrate its latest occupancy sensor for private spaces that is typically mounted on a wall. Ideal for private focus, the new specialized operational mode is powered via an external motion sensor that detects human presence inside a phone booth-style persona meeting space.

    The sensor immediately notifies the local Humly Booking Device when someone has entered the booth, switching to “booked” mode and changing the touchscreen’s LED lighting to red.

    Now shipping in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific, Humly Booking Device is a slim and flexible device for mounting on and underneath a variety of surfaces where people work, gather, and collaborate. Its architecture houses a small, high-resolution LCD display (3.46 inches) with a capacitive touchscreen surrounded by an LED light that alerts people whether rooms or desks are available or occupied (green lighting and red lighting, respectively).

    Humly will also unveil a new sensor integration that communicates pertinent atmospheric data including air quality, temperature, carbon dioxide levels, and humidity – all which can be found on the Humly Room Display and within Humly Control Panel. Users can define thresholds for good, moderate, and poor air quality for any resource with an assigned sensor. Humly Room Display is a meeting room booking solution with an interactive display that makes it easy to locate your reserved space or find an available one on the spot. Humly Control Panel is the central administration interface used to monitor and manage a Humly Room Display network.

    Returning to ISE this year is Humly’s PoE and Desk Control accessory for Humly Booking Device, introduced last year at the height of the hotdesking movement. The ultra-compact accessory includes an ethernet port for PoE powering and a separate cabling connection to control desk positions, and these features can be turned on separately or together. The accessory is small enough to fit inside walls or mount underneath desks for cleaner installations that conceal accessories from direct sightlines.

    The desk control feature is especially powerful in the modern workplace. Desks automatically adjust to the user’s preferred seating position upon booking, and the system will recall that user’s precise desired position for every desk on the network. Staff can also manually adjust desk heights for other seated and standing positions should needs change.

    At ISE 2025, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) will spotlight the growing adoption of IPMX (Internet Protocol Media Experience) in the broadcast and Pro AV industries. With the open-standards-based protocol nearing completion, AIMS will showcase IPMX-compatible solutions at booth 5F600, including an NMOS controller, AES67 speaker, Dante-to-IP adapter, KVM, SDM, and multiviewer displays, among others. For the first time, AIMS will also feature dedicated kiosks from partners like Cobalt Digital, Macnica, IntoPix, Meinberg, Nexterra, and PlexusAV, demonstrating real-world IPMX interoperability with ST 2110, AES67, JPEG XS, Dante, and more.

    With IPMX now fully defined, AIMS is shifting its focus to industry adoption, testing, and scaling for mass deployment. Designed to enhance AV-over-IP interoperability, IPMX builds on SMPTE ST 2110 and introduces asynchronous audio/video support, 4K60 transmission over a single gigabit network, and HDCP content security—key features for live production and Pro AV environments. AMWA’s NMOS specifications further simplify device compatibility and control, making IPMX a game-changer for IT and AV professionals looking for an open, standardized alternative to proprietary AV-over-IP solutions.

    The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) will highlight the global broadcast and Pro AV market’s increasing adoption of Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX™) — a set of open standards-based protocols designed to ensure interoperability for AV-over-IP systems — at ISE 2025. With the standard nearing completion, the stage is set for it to make a big impact in Barcelona. In booth 5F600, AIMS will demonstrate a variety of IPMX-compatible solutions, including an NMOS controller; AES67 speaker; Dante-to-IP adapter; KVM, SDM, and multiviewer displays; IP-to-IP converter; and receiver software.

    To complement the IPMX-compatible solutions being highlighted at ISE 2025, the standard will also be featured in several partner kiosks in the AIMS booth, including Cobalt Digital, Macnica, IntoPix, Meinberg, Nexterra, and PlexusAV. The kiosks are a first for AIMS at the show, with member companies hosting demonstrations of IPMX-based systems. This will include a wide range of scenarios including the interoperability of the IPMX standard with ST-2110, AES67, JPEG XS, Dante, and much more.

    Created by AIMS in collaboration with VSF and AMWA, IPMX implements a standards-based approach based on SMPTE ST 2110, with features and capabilities that target the specific needs of the broadcast and Pro AV industries. In addition to simplifying the implementation of SMPTE ST 2110 and ensuring interoperability for AV-over-IP systems, IPMX incorporates core features tailored to Pro AV installations. These features include asynchronous audio and video support suitable for both live production and Pro AV presentations, 4K60 transmission over a single gigabit network, and HDCP for content security. IPMX also includes a control layer provided by AMWA’s NMOS specifications, which enhances device interoperability and eases the dependency on a myriad of proprietary control system protocols.
