    Spark 2026 made a strong debut at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), bringing together creators, brands, broadcasters, production teams, and technology leaders to explore the future of content creation and immersive experiences. With keynote sessions, live demonstrations, and interactive installations from partners including Samsung, MoSys, 3Cat, and Lab of Tomorrow, the event highlighted how AI, virtual production, and immersive technologies are reshaping creative workflows across broadcast, live events, and corporate communications.

    Following its successful launch, Spark will expand in 2027 with a move to Fira Montjuïc in Barcelona to support a larger program, bigger installations, and more industry participation. The event aims to strengthen collaboration between creative and technology professionals while giving AV and IT leaders a platform to explore emerging production trends, build partnerships, and shape the future of content experiences.

    Spark 2026, powered by Samsung, launched at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) as a new event designed to connect the creative and production communities shaping the future of content and immersive experiences.

    Creators, brands, broadcasters, agencies, in-house teams and production innovators came together to explore creative practices and how modern content is designed and produced across live, filmed and immersive experiences.

    Taking place in Hall 8.1 of Fira Gran Via, Spark featured four high-impact partner activations, thirty content sessions and sixty-three speakers, including keynotes from Jordan Schwarzenberger, Netflix and 0207 Def Jam.

    Launched by ISE in response to accelerating market convergences and the rapid expansion of creative-technology sectors, Spark connected the people shaping how content is conceived, commissioned and produced across broadcast, live experiences, immersive media and corporate communications.

    Spark showcased emerging creative formats while also bringing creative, production and technology teams together earlier in the process, creating space for new ideas, workflows and production models to emerge before they reach the mainstream.

    A Platform Built on Collaboration

    Headline sponsor Samsung showcased The Wall for Virtual Production (IVC Series), offering a hands-on window into next-generation production environments and the evolving language of virtual storytelling. Mark Taylor, Head of Vertical Markets at Samsung Display Solutions, Europe said: “What’s exciting about Spark is bringing together different manufacturers, speakers, and end users to really show what’s happening in the broadcast space right now and where it’s going next. There were great talks across all four days, including discussions around the future of virtual broadcast, and that convergence trend is only going to continue.     Alongside Samsung, MoSys, 3Cat, and Lab of Tomorrow delivered a series of immersive installations and live demonstrations that translated emerging production capabilities into working environments.

    Lab of Tomorrow’s Floating Sky installation expanded the creative possibilities of live experience design, while 3Cat’s interactive three-screen cube, inspired by Manairons, transformed a gaming narrative into a physical in-person experience. MoSys presented its “Mostudio” solution on Samsung’s The Wall LED technology, demonstrating how their democratised, automated studio workflows are reshaping production possibilities, placing virtual production in the hands of non-technical creators.

    Together, these installations highlighted a clear shift: production technology is no longer just enabling creativity; it is actively reshaping it.

Winning projects showcased innovative approaches to AI, sustainability, and secure connected systems, while reinforcing the Hackathon’s growing role in helping bridge the AV industry’s skills gap and preparing the next generation of professionals.

    The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) Hackathon returned in 2026 for its second edition, building on the success of its inaugural year and further establishing itself as a key initiative connecting students, startups, and industry leaders.

    Working against the clock in an intense, high-energy environment, participants collaborated in teams to address industry-relevant challenges across three tracks: Sustainability, Innovation, and Cybersecurity. In under 48 hours the students developed forward-thinking solutions with the guidance of expert mentors and direct access to the technologies and insights across the ISE show floor.

    The unique setting of ISE once again proved central to the experience. By engaging directly with exhibitors and industry professionals, teams were able to validate ideas in real time and translate concepts into practical, scalable solutions.

    From Concept to Impact

    Across all three tracks, participants highlighted how direct exposure to the ISE ecosystem expanded their thinking beyond the classroom.

    One Cybersecurity Track winner described the experience as “designing for the industry standing right in front of you,” with immediate feedback enabling teams to refine ideas and ensure practical relevance from the outset.

    Sustainability Track winners credited direct interaction with exhibitors was key to shaping their solution, providing valuable insights into emerging technologies and practical applications, helping them develop a solution grounded in real-world feasibility.

    Similarly, Innovation Track winners pointed to the show floor as a key source of inspiration, encouraging them to rethink conventional processes and develop more engaging user experiences.

    Following the intensive development phase, teams presented their final solutions at the Innovation Park Pitching Stage, with winners announced on the final day of the show.

    Panta Rhei: Intelligent, AI-Enabled AV Management

    Kramer also showcased major advancements within Panta Rhei, its AV ecosystem platform for management, monitoring, and automation of AVoIP environments. Expanded third-party device support allows users to integrate and interact with a wide range of AV devices, while new automation tools enable proactive, rule-based actions at room, building, site, or multi-site level — all from a single, centralised interface.

    New AI-powered capabilities were demonstrated live at the show, including an AI-enabled troubleshooting tool designed to help AV teams resolve issues faster, reduce downtime, and continuously improve system performance through ongoing learning.

    Collaboration Spaces by Ashton Bentley

    Kramer’s Ashton Bentley division presented engineered meeting-room solutions designed to remove complexity and deliver consistently high-quality collaboration experiences. Highlights included a new mobile CART solution for flexible AV deployment, Microsoft Teams Rooms Express Install configurations developed in collaboration with Microsoft and leading ecosystem partners, and meeting tables purpose-built for modern video collaboration — optimising sightlines, ergonomics, and integrated connectivity.
