    The Internet Protocol Media Experience or IPMX is a new and free open standard for AV over IP solutions. It allows the transmission of high quality audio, video and control signals through standard IP networks. The IPMX standard is dynamic, allowing quality as high as 4K60 and 4:4:4 color, and addresses many of the needs that Pro AV industry integrators as looking for.

We are joined by d&b audiotechnik Chief Operating Officer Stephan Greiner in our studio to discuss the innovations made in the audio space in the last two years since Amsterdam.

    The newest addition to their line of amplifiers and audio solutions is the 5D installation amplifier. It is a four-channel DSP amplifier with integrated audio networking and flexible output power sharing. This piece is intended to drive smaller loudspeakers and can be installed under tables or in ceilings in addition to the standard rack space.

    The are also still innovating on their SL series of large format line array systems with the XSL System. It offers full broadband directivity control, and is the smallest offering of the series. Working in tandem is the four-channel D40 amplifier. This solution provides comprehensive loudspeaker management and newly offered energy saving features.
