Not About Either/Or Anymore

If this were any other year, we would be in Las Vegas, on the show floor of InfoComm 2020. But as you are probably aware, this has been a very different kind of year, requiring a very different type of show. InfoComm 2020 was cancelled in late March, but it was announced by AVIXA CEO David Labuskes in April that InfoComm would be returning in a virtual capacity with InfoComm Connected. Today we sit down virtually with David as well as the founder of Integrated Systems Europe Mike Blackman about how they saw the show as it unfolded, what the future of mixing virtual and real life events look like, and where AVIXA is headed moving forward.

We also sit down with some people who attended the show and were presenters, like CEO for IAS Technology Jeremy Caldera, Owner of Omega Audio Video and host of our own ResiWeek show Matt Scott and Director of Systems Solutions for QSC Cory Schaeffer about their experiences on InfoComm Connected. We discuss the highlights, the areas for improvement, and more. All without the excess of pivot, unprecedented times or “new normal”.
