Identity Crisis

Integrated Systems Europe is finally back in the physical space! AVNation has been working tirelessly to bring you the latest innovations on the show floor of the Fira in Barcelona Spain. And as is tradition for AVWeek, we take to the studio and talk to experts around the industry to get their experience of ISE 2022 and AV as a whole.

We start with one of the reasons we are all gathered in Barcelona, ISE’s Managing Director Mike Blackman as well as AVIXA CEO Dave Labuskes. We talk about the transition from Amsterdam to Barcelona and the complications surrounding COVID that took things in an interesting spin. We also discuss the growth of AVIXA members as shows start to come back to the physical space.

Next we are joined by Integrated Systems Design Partner for Kirkegaard Bren Walker and Vice President of Technology at Hall Technologies Ken Eagle. We discuss the show from the perspectives of both end-user and exhibitor, and what it meant to see certain people that only existed in screens in real life.

Finally we are joined by Director of Learning Environments for the University of Southern California Joe Way and the Global Director of Technology Alliances at Crestron Neil Fluester. We discuss the experience of the show for exhibitors as well as what higher education facilities are taking away from the show.
