Farewell, Orlando
InfoComm 2023 is one of the biggest trade shows for the AV industry, showcasing not only a vast amount of innovative solutions across different verticals but education and training for those in AV. It is such a big show that we couldn’t possibly contain our conversations to just one episode! We continue to engage with attendees and discuss the different experiences of the show with experts in the industry.
We start off by talking to IT Manager of Classroom Technology for Johns Hopkins University (as well as host of our very own EDTech) Erin Maher-Moran, and AV Experience Manager for Iowa State University Mike Pedersen about their time at the show. Since both are affiliated with the higher education space and HETMA, the Higher Education Technology Managers Association, we discuss the presence of solutions built for the classroom at the show. We also talk about HETMA’s plans in reaching those technology managers in places like InfoComm and more.
Our second and final segment of the show has us joined by Director of Product Marketing & Training for Mersive Erica Carroll, Sales Manager for RTSales Jennifer Goodyer and Client Success Manager for Control Concepts Brittany DiCesare. Erica and Jennifer are also our hosts for The Women in AV Podcast, so it’s only right that while we also discuss their experience at the show, we talk about groups like AVIXA’s Womens Council and their annual breakfast and more.
