EDTech 105: Let’s Get Physical!

Someone To Watch Over Me

You don’t have to break out the neon lycra, but if you want the news surrounding the intersection of AV and higher education, you’ve come to the right place. We are joined by Assistant Director of Multimedia Services for Drexel University Rob Rasberry, Director of AV Services for the University of Arkansas Ernie Bailey, Director of Client Services for Bates College Scott Tiner, and Associate Director of Classroom Technologies for Washington & Lee Univeristy Annie Foster.

Scott writes for rAVe Pubs about budgets, inventory and standards in classroom technology. As budgets get tighter, supply gets leaner and yet prices of technology goes up, how are technology managers supposed to get the things they need in an educational setting? Do we need to change our standards to make things work?

HETMA and AVIXA have announced a partnership in the leadup to InfoComm 2023. The organization will have a significant presence at the show with a booth on the floor acting as a home base for anyone in higher education. We discuss what it means for those in the space to have a spot to belong and what it means for the upcoming show in Orlando.

Legrand’s Solution Engineering Team is being brought up to assist partners for AV experiences. This group, formed in 2020, is made up of experts in Legrand to guide customers through technical challenges. Sometimes even just a second set of eyes is good to have when looking at any project. How can this opportunity benefit those in higher education?
