ResiWeek 246: Economic Ecosystem

Four Walls

It’s Tim! Put down your pitchforks. We’re here to discuss the latest news coming out of the residential side of the AV industry. And joining us in this endeavor is Director of Residential Sales for SurgeX Jimmy Paschke and Executive Editor for Residential Tech Today Jeremy Glowacki.|

SnapAV kicked off their Snap Pro Live virtal event last week by showcasing several new products and solutions to integrate with Control4 devices. One such thing was the new Chime video doorbell, a direct competitor to companies like Ring. What does this mean for SnapAV and Control4 going forward with these devices? Looking at how these companies have progressed during this merger.

Wellness is expected to make a surge in demand according to a survey by Oglivy. Wellness solutions is not something new to this industry, but it is still something that some integrators aren’t taking advantage of. Is this the push that will bring it to the forefront for consumers?

Parasol has updated their AllCall 24/7 remote support program. They will now directly interface with consumers of those integrators, cutting out the middle man. Is there merit in other companies adopting this system? Looking at what this means for integrators and customers going forward.
