Extron Announces New DTP3 EU/MK Wallplate Transmitter for USB-C and HDMI

Extron’s AV solutions elevate experiences through cutting-edge technologies, enhancing image clarity, sound quality, and system reliability, while also providing robust asset management tools for efficient oversight of large-scale AV systems.

Extron has introduced the DTP3 T 202 EU/MK, a two-input wallplate transmitter designed for sending USB-C video, HDMI, audio, and control signals up to 330 feet over shielded CAT 6A cable. It supports 4K/60 4:4:4 signals, HDCP 2.3 compliance, and uncompressed transmission of video signals for optimal image quality.

The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK addresses the need for long-distance transmission of USB-C, HDMI, audio, and control signals in various professional environments such as presentation venues, conference rooms, and classrooms. It offers reliable switching, supports high data rates, HDR, Deep Color, and 3D, and includes features like EDID Minder and bidirectional RS-232 pass-through for seamless integration and operation. This transmitter provides integrators and end-users with a versatile and efficient solution for extending AV signals from the wall or furniture.

Extron is pleased to introduce the DTP3 T 202 EU/MK, a two-input wallplate transmitter for sending USB-C video, HDMI, audio, and control up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It includes proven technologies for extending video signals with optimal image quality. This DTP3 transmitter supports 4K/60 4:4:4 signals and is HDCP 2.3 compliant. To maximize image quality and eliminate latency, all supported video resolutions are transported without compression. Capabilities such as easy connectivity for USB-C and HDMI devices, auto-switching between inputs, and output muting control streamline operation for the end user. Integrator-friendly features include EDID Minder, analog stereo audio embedding, and bidirectional RS-232 pass-through for control of remote AV devices. It is compatible with standard two-gang EU and MK-type junction boxes, and includes wallplates for each. The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK is ideal for presentation venues, conference rooms, classrooms, and environments that require easy extension of USB-C, HDMI, audio, and control from the wall or a piece of furniture.

“We’re excited to announce further expansion of our line of third-generation DTP products with additional USB-C connectivity,” says Casey Hall, Chief Marketing Officer at Extron. “The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK wallplate transmitter is a perfect fit in applications that require long-distance transmission of USB-C video, HDMI, audio, and control over an economical twisted pair infrastructure.”

The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK provides reliable switching and transmission of USB-C and HDMI video at data rates up to 18 Gbps. It connects USB‑C sources that support DisplayPort Alt Mode. In addition to enabling uncompressed video extension, it supports HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. Two of the transmitter’s many integrator-friendly features include simultaneous transmission of bidirectional RS-232 signals from a control system for AV device control, along with Extron’s EDID Minder technology, ensuring connected sources power up properly and reliably output content for display. Also, the DTP3 output can be configured to send video and embedded audio, plus control, to an HDBaseT-enabled display. These features and capabilities make the DTP3 T 202 EU/MK the ideal transmitter for professional environments.
