AVNation’s Tim Albright had an engaging conversation with Balazs Boldog from Yamaha Unified Communications at InfoComm 2024. This year’s Yamaha booth showcased cutting-edge audio-visual technology designed to simplify and enhance IT management in various meeting spaces.
Yamaha introduced their innovative video bars, emphasizing simplicity and ease of use, crucial for IT managers. Boldog highlighted the advanced features of these video bars, such as adaptive audio capture and AI functionality for lip-reading, ensuring only relevant audio is transmitted during meetings. The hexagonal microphone array, capable of scanning at 120-degree diagonals and 110-degree horizontals, ensures precise audio tracking, making it ideal for crowded spaces.
Additionally, Yamaha unveiled their first PoE speaker for the Unified Communications sector, marking a significant advancement in simplifying installation and connectivity through PoE and Dante integration. This speaker, along with the new firmware version 2.5 for the ADECIA system, enables seamless combine and divide scenarios without needing additional amps or speakers.
Another highlight was the introduction of a new programmable controller, enhancing the ease of managing conference setups with customizable control options and full RGB lighting indicators.
