DisplayNote’s BYOM Tech Powers Ricoh’s Whiteboards for Effortless Video Conferencing

DisplayNote Technologies has teamed up with Ricoh to enhance hybrid meetings with seamless video conferencing and wireless casting. Ricoh’s new Collaboration Boards (W5500/W6500/W7500) will come preinstalled with DisplayNote’s Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) technology, allowing users to wirelessly connect their laptops to room equipment like displays, cameras, mics, and speakers. This plug-and-play integration means teams can use their preferred video conferencing tools while leveraging premium AV solutions for better sound and video quality.

With this solution, IT teams can simplify setup and connectivity across workplaces embracing hybrid and flexible work models. The BYOM-enabled Ricoh Collaboration Boards will be available in Japan starting January 23, 2025, offering organizations an effortless way to boost collaboration, screen sharing, and meeting efficiency.

DisplayNote Technologies, a leader in wireless casting and video transmission, today announced they will be working with Ricoh, a global leader in digital workplace solutions. This collaboration brings DisplayNote’s innovative Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) software, to Ricoh’s next-generation Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) – Ricoh Collaboration Board W5500/W6500/W7500.
The BYOM technology will come preinstalled and fully embedded in Ricoh Collaboration Board W5500/W6500/W7500, offering users a unified solution for wireless casting and video conferencing.

How it works:
Discover – Detect BYOM-enabled devices on your network, even across subnets.
Connect – Wirelessly connect laptops to the room’s hardware, such as displays cameras, mic, and speakers.
Conference – Launch any call on your laptop and use the room equipment as if it’s physically connected to your own device.

Key Benefits of the Integration:
Enhanced Video Conferencing – Use preferred video conferencing tools while leveraging the room’s premium AV equipment.
Wireless Casting – Easily connect laptops to Ricoh displays for effortless screen sharing during meetings.
Plug-and-Play – Preinstalled BYOM on Ricoh devices ensures instant, hassle-free setup.

Ed Morgan, CEO of DisplayNote Technologies, added, “This integration enables smooth hybrid meetings, where personal devices and room equipment work together in perfect harmony. The combined expertise of DisplayNote Technologies and Ricoh creates an exceptional solution for workplaces embracing hybrid and flexible working models.
