At InfoComm 2025, AVNation’s Tim Albright joined Doug Daube in the Shure booth to celebrate not just a century of excellence, but a bold leap forward in AV flexibility. Known for setting the gold standard in audio, Shure is making headlines again, this time with product innovations designed to empower integrators with more freedom, customization, and power than ever before.
Leading the conversation was the debut of the Shure Foundation Room Kit, a fully certified Microsoft Teams solution that offers a modular approach to meeting space design. Unlike its predecessor, the IntelliMix Room Kit, the Foundation Kit ships with compute and panel switch, leaving integrators free to choose their own Microflex peripherals, microphones, loudspeakers, and USB-connected cameras. Whether it’s a huddle room or a large conference space, this kit gives integrators total control with the reliability of Shure at the core.
Also making waves is the expansion of Shure’s loudspeaker portfolio. Building on the passive pendants introduced at ISE, the new MXN6 active pendant loudspeaker adds high-powered performance over PoE+ ideal for applications needing a single-point audio solution. With both passive and active options now available, Shure is giving AV pros the flexibility to scale sound systems based on real-world room needs and budgets.
