The update applies to all Select Series PDUs sold since 2016, making it easy for existing customers to enhance security and enable remote access. With open protocol support and third-party system integrations, this firmware streamlines global power management while maintaining flexibility for complex AV and IT installations.
Middle Atlantic Products, a brand of Legrand | AV, today announced a major firmware update to its best-selling Select Series power distribution units (PDUs). The highly anticipated firmware version 2.0.1 introduces robust network security, including HTTPS and SSH, along with the ability to connect to RackLink™ Cloud for remote control, monitoring, and management. The new update is deployed via a single firmware file that updates all PDU models, making the process simple and efficient.
This firmware update expands the feature set of the Select Series, allowing integrators to conveniently and securely control, monitor, and manage all deployed PDUs from a single, customizable cloud-based dashboard. The new security protocols and cloud connectivity meet the demands of residential AV customers, as well as larger enterprise, education, and IT customers who require advanced network security for all connected devices.
“The addition of increased network security, coupled with RackLink Cloud’s remote management capabilities, offers our customers a secure single pane of glass to control their entire system with ease,” said Patrick Kittredge, CTS, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Middle Atlantic Products and Da-Lite at Legrand | AV. “This update solidifies the Select Series as a go-to solution for power management across any residential or commercial AV application, anywhere in the world.”
All Select Series PDUs sold since the initial launch in 2016 can be updated to firmware v2.0.1, providing immediate value to existing customers. The streamlined process allows customers to easily enable RackLink Cloud and remotely access their devices once the update is complete.
The PDUs continue to offer an open protocol and integrations, allowing them to interface with third-party AV control systems and cloud platforms. With international availability on the CE-rated IEC models, it is now significantly easier to standardize power management across global installations.
