On-Q Introduces New Line of Unmanaged Network Switches for Streamlined Residential Connectivity

On-Q has launched a new line of unmanaged network switches built to simplify residential and light commercial networking. These switches are designed for plug-and-play deployment and seamless integration with On-Q’s structured wiring enclosures, making installations faster and more reliable. With features like compact designs, front-facing LED indicators, and PoE+ support, they offer a clean and professional solution for smart homes and connected environments.

The lineup includes three models: the DA8000WH (8-port Gigabit), DA8400WH (4 Gigabit + 4 PoE+ ports), and the upcoming DA8800WH (8-port PoE+). Each model is tailored for different networking needs, from basic connectivity to powering IP cameras and wireless access points. Backed by Energy Efficient Ethernet support, installation hardware, and a five-year warranty, these switches give installers confidence in building efficient, future-ready networks.

On-Q, the structured wiring and connectivity solutions leader from Legrand, today announced the launch of a new line of unmanaged network switches designed to simplify residential networking installations. Engineered for plug-and-play deployment and seamless integration with On-Q’s structured wiring enclosures, these switches offer reliable performance and installer-friendly features for residential and light commercial environments.

“Installers need networking solutions that are easy to deploy, reliable, and built to fit seamlessly into structured wiring systems,” said Garrett Humphrey, Product Marketing Manager for On-Q and SANUS at Legrand | AV. “Our new unmanaged switches deliver just that — whether you’re powering smart home devices, streaming media, or supporting IP surveillance. We’ve designed these switches to eliminate complexity and reduce installation time, while ensuring long-term performance and compatibility with On-Q enclosures. It’s about giving professionals the confidence that their network backbone is solid, efficient, and ready for the demands of modern connected homes.”

The new lineup includes three models, each tailored to meet specific installation needs. The DA8000WH is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch that delivers high-speed data transfer up to 1000 Mbps. With a compact form factor and front-facing LED indicators, it’s ideal for clean, professional installs inside On-Q plastic or metal enclosures.

For installations requiring both data and power delivery, the DA8400WH combines four Gigabit Ethernet ports with four PoE+ ports, each capable of delivering up to 60W budget across four PoE+ ports. Housed in a robust metal chassis, this switch is perfect for powering IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points.

Rounding out the lineup is the DA8800WH, an 8-port PoE+ switch scheduled for release in Q4 2025. This model is designed for power-hungry smart home and networking setups, with each port delivering up to 120W budget across eight PoE+ ports. It shares the same enclosure-friendly design and installation accessories as the other models, and it’s built to support high-performance residential networks with minimal configuration required.

All three switches come with external power adapters, mounting hardware, and a five-year limited warranty. With support for Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) and seamless compatibility with On-Q’s structured wiring solutions, these unmanaged switches provide a reliable foundation for today’s connected homes.
