At InfoComm 2026, Tim Albright talks with James Rempel of Nureva about the company’s latest expansion into larger collaboration and meeting environments. The conversation focused on the new HDX series, a solution designed to bring broader audio functionality to large spaces while maintaining the simplicity Nureva customers have come to expect.
According to Rempel, Nureva’s growth in the conferencing market has led customers to request additional audio capabilities beyond traditional meeting support. While conferencing remains a core requirement, organizations also want high-quality speaker output for music and media playback, tools that improve in-room communication, and support for assisted listening applications.
The new HDX series was developed to address those needs. Designed specifically for larger rooms, the platform combines multiple audio functions into a single solution intended to support a wider range of use cases. Rempel emphasized that the goal was to deliver enhanced functionality without increasing deployment complexity.
Ease of management was another key topic during the discussion. Nureva’s cloud-based Nureva Console platform, which already supports the company’s audio conferencing products, also manages HDX systems. Through the platform, information technology managers and audiovisual teams can monitor devices through a centralized dashboard, review system status, and access detailed configuration and monitoring tools for individual installations.
The approach reflects a broader industry trend toward centralized device management and simplified administration, particularly for organizations operating multiple meeting and collaboration spaces. By extending these capabilities to larger environments, Nureva aims to make advanced room audio easier to deploy and maintain.
