You Won’t Believe

Considering the topics we might need a more clickbait-y way of saying that Matt is missing. Despite that, we’ve still got our hands full of news and stories for the residential space. Joining us this week is Seth Johnson from BlackWire Designs and Mitchell Toolen from AVNation.

Surfshark, a VPN (virtual private network) provider shares some metrics about the data being picked up by virtual assistants. Smart home solutions like Alexa and Google Home were at the top of data collectors, with some surprising entries like Keurig machines. At this point, privacy and the smart home could not be farther from each other. So what could that data be utilized for to actually benefit the consumer?

BlackWire Designs has unveiled their Network Provisioning Service for networking solutions that are ready right out of the box. And since Seth is here, we can ask him all about what prompted this design and how it can help integrators in the field. We also discuss what else could be done to streamline a project’s processes.

Finally, we look at Anthony Savona’s talk about Minding the Gap. This gap in particular is known as the “Curiosity gap”, but most people might know it as clickbait. In this age of the internet where there are thousands of articles and sources to pull, that air of mystery can be what puts you ahead of the rest. Can we use that tease to appeal when it comes to enticing customers?
