Extron has announced that its new NAV E 222 USB-C and HDMI switching encoder is now shipping, expanding the capabilities of its NAV Pro AV over IP platform. The encoder introduces USB-C input support alongside HDMI, giving AV system designers greater flexibility when building modern, high-performance streaming and distribution systems. It supports both automatic and manual input switching and can deliver up to 100W of power to connected USB-C devices using an optional power inserter.
Designed for professional AV environments, the NAV E 222 supports the AES67 audio over IP standard, enabling seamless integration with Extron DSPs and other IP-based audio systems. As part of the highly scalable NAV platform, it delivers secure, ultra-low-latency, lossless video up to 4K/60 over standard Ethernet networks, making it suitable for large, enterprise-grade AV deployments.

The NAV E 222 supports the AES67 audio over IP standard, facilitating flexible integration with Extron DMP Plus DSPs or other IP-enabled audio components.
