In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Bradford Benn is back in the InfoComm 2022 studio with Sam Nord, a representative for Listen Technologies. As Sam explains it, Listen Technologies helps people hear better. They make products that help with speech clarity in a variety of environments.

This ranges from radio frequency products to infrared products, and of course—at InfoComm—WiFi assistive listening technology. While there are specific standards for organizations to meet in terms of sound, Listen Tech is focused on a larger goal of inclusivity.

One product they’re displaying at the show is their Tour Guide Technology. For tour guides, field trip leaders, secondary language speakers, and translators, this can make a massive impact. This is needed across countless sectors—from hospitality and entertainment to manufacturing.

Here at the show, they’re excited to introduce attendees to their Listen Anywhere technology, now compatible with the new LWR 1020 WiFi receiver, which allows people to say within the WiFi system. Now, consumers can hit every point of ADA compliance.

In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Steve Greenblatt is back in the InfoComm 2022 studio with Sean Matthews, Chief Executive Officer and President at Visix. Sean’s organization has been in the digital signage business for nearly twenty years, and its product is geared specifically for institutional communications.

This technology supports the workflows of higher education, government, corporate campus, healthcare, and more. It’s very applicable to the AV integration channel, so this is a great extension of what integrators are already doing.

Their product is designed of three components: a Windows design system, a CMS system, and an endpoint application called Engage.

One popular use case for these signs is event information. Consumers often want to extend information to outside the room, and outside the door. In their software, Visix has data integrations with the most popular event management systems so that users can pull information directly from them. The devices are often bi-directional as well, so that information can be shared directly from the signage device, too.
