Almo has announced the first Hybrid E4 Experience, scheduled for November 30th in Dallas, Texas. This will mark the first time Almo has combined their regional events with the virtual E4v style of event they used in 2020. Even though large shows like InfoComm are coming up and insisting on their physical presence, will we see more hybridized events for our industry? We look at providing an experience for the physical and virtual space, and why Tim has such a defensive position against the word hybrid.

Tech Data Corporation, the owner of Maverick AV solutions has completed their merger with SYNNEX Corporation. This new combined company will be known as TD SYNNEX, with the merger creating a $57 billion revenue distributor operating in over 100 countries globally. There are certainly global distributors within the AV industry, but this one will likely contend as a powerhouse based on sheer company size alone. What’s the industry going to do with one more distributor than can go around the world like this?
