The Future Of Working

Tim is back from vacation looking fresh, like he has a serious budget behind him. But whether we’re in a legitimate studio or using two cans tied to a string, we are here to bring you the latest news coming out of the commercial side and bring some experts to discuss it. Joining us this week is CX/UX Designer at the University of Southern California Lex Peters, Vice President of Sales & Operations for Nationwide AV Brock McGinnis and newly appointed Content Director at SCN Mark Pescatore.

SCN posted their annual list of top 50 systems integrators for the year of 2021. In the same way of last year, entrants could choose to disclose their earnings, which would be averaged out. Are there benefits for the end-users and tech managers looking at lists like this to make choices during a project? Would there be a reason that a company would or would not want to be on this list? What showcases like this mean for the AV industry both for the companies on it and the people looking at the lists.

Software has become one of the heavy hitters when it comes to providing mission-critical components to solutions. Do automatic updates provide that streamlined experience, or is it just something that could break an entire system overnight? We look at the positive and negatives for automatic updates when it comes to AV software.

This includes anytime working, rather than the standard 9 to 5 timeframe and anywhere working, which is exactly what it says on the tin. For employees and possibly businesses, it sounds simple. For integrators it might sound like a nightmare. Is there a way to design for this? Do we need to account for every possible connection? What tomorrow’s polymorphic office means for today’s integrators.
