We may have gotten an hour back, but that just means there was more time to make news. And so, we’re here to gather up all the latest stories surrounding the commercial side of the AV industry and discuss them with a panel of experts. Joining us this week is Vice President of Sales & Operations for Nationwide AV Brock McGinnis, AV Consultant at Newcomb & Boyd Gladys Marroquin, Vice President of Sales for AtlasIED Michael Peveler and Founder of rAVe Gary Kayye.

This week was Zoomtopia, the conference devoted to the collaboration platform Zoom. The event looked at the hybrid and virtual space, and even had a performance by St. Louis’ own Nelly. But rather than discuss musical acts, we talk about the key points to take away from the show, as well as where conferencing software is at within the corporate space.

Back in October, CEDIA announced a slate of additions to the board of directors. Previously, the organization had open elections to decide on who was joining the board and the change was a bit of a surprise. We sat down with CEDIA CEO Daryl Friedman along with another panel to discuss those changes in an AVNation Special. But today we discuss the organizations on the commercial side like AVIXA. We look at how governing bodies should be occupying their seats.
