Just the Two of Us

We are back to our regularly scheduled programming with Matt Scott bringing the latest news and updates in residential AV! Joining our esteemed host today is the President of Bryant Design & Consulting Group, Ian Bryant.

We kick things off with CEDIA Expo bringing back the Launchpad TechStart competition, allowing new companies to be spotlighted and showcase their solutions at the residential tradeshow. The Launchpad has become a pivotal role for companies looking to get into the space.

Next, we take a look at how the AVPro Edge AC-EX40-444-KIT saved a marriage.’ Although a hefty pricepoint, the HDBaseT Extender was able to provide a high-quality HDR 4K signal to the television. Have we moved past the need to purchase “cheap solutions”? Is it time we start investing in verified systems guaranteed to work?

We now move to Residential Systems who ask the question “Are You All In To Win?” The article explains three important ways integrators and manufacturers can make the design/build community feel more included in this space. How much time should we be investing in building these relationships and most importantly, what does that look like?

Finally, we talk about home theaters. Specifically, how home theaters can ruin the value of your home. According to the article, home theaters have very little appeal and could prove to be a daunting task for those looking to renovate. Could home theaters pose a threat to a home’s value?
