For ten years, SCN has looked through the AV industry to find and induct the most influential people into their Hall of Fame. We’ve taken the time to sit down with each of them to discuss their journey through the industry and what AV means to them.
Jon Sidwick started in the AV industry through Sharp Electronics in 1987, running the projection division. It was there he started his love for the pro AV market. He joined Maverick AV Solutions in 1997, leading the charge of the plasma screen business and growing Maverick into one of the largest projection distributors in Europe. As recently as August of last year he joined Collabtech Group as president focusing on the unified communications space. We discuss the changing trends in that UC space, especially considering how much it is being used in the midst of a pandemic and where this industry could be headed as far as 2022.
