Luxul’s Epic Series of Wired and Wireless Routers Shine at CES 2018 With TechHome® Mark of Excellence Award

DRAPER, Utah — Jan. 17, 2018 — The TechHome® Mark of Excellence Awards, presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, recognized Luxul, the leading innovator of IP networking solutions for CEDIA professionals, as the best in custom integration and installed technology. Today, Luxul announced that its Epic Series of wired and wireless routers with built-in Domotz remote management technology received the Networking Product of the Year award.
Presented by the CTA at a reception at CES 2018, the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards recognize the best in custom integration and installed technology. Each year, manufacturers, distributors, and systems integrators compete in more than 30 award categories, with winners selected by a judging panel of industry experts. This year in the category of Networking Product of the Year, the high-speed networking and powerful technologies of Luxul’s Epic Series impressed the judges.
For integrators, the Epic Series’ integrated Domotz technology is a groundbreaking feature that saves time and money by allowing them to remotely manage and support their clients’ networks and all connected devices, eliminating the need for truck rolls and service calls. The routers also feature Router Limits content management technology, which puts homeowners in control of their internet experience. Using an interface that is accessible from anywhere, clients can choose which devices are capable of using the web, which websites are OK, and the days and times the internet should be available.
The Epic Series includes the dual-band wireless AC3100 Epic 3 (XWR-3150), multi-WAN Epic 4 with rear-panel (ABR-4500) or front-panel (XBR-4500) ports, and the dual-WAN Epic 5 (ABR-5000). Sporting advanced 4×4 MU-MIMO (Wave 2) technology, the Epic 3 delivers wireless data transfers of up to 3100Mbps. The router offers a built-in wireless controller featuring Luxul’s exclusive Roam Assist™ technology, allowing installers to easily add up to two more wireless access points for a seamless whole-house Wi-Fi experience. The Epic 4 features one dedicated WAN, one dedicated LAN, and three LAN/WAN configurable ports and allows up to 512 concurrent device routing entries. For networks backed by ISPs offering GB plans, the Epic 5 is Luxul’s fastest and most powerful router, with Gigabit WAN-to-LAN speeds to take advantage of high-speed internet connections.
“Our Epic Series consists of more than just routers, with advanced features like integrated Domotz remote management, Router Limits, and Roam Assist technologies,” said Mike Grubb, vice president of marketing at Luxul. “We designed our Epic Series routers to be a huge value to our integrators while creating smarter and more reliable networks that improve their bottom lines and deliver a better experience for their clients. We are honored to have been recognized by the CTA with this prestigious award.”
