Burnaby, British Columbia – January 23, 2018 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, announced today that syscomtec Distribution AG, specialists in visualization technologies, signal management and control in the field of professional audio-visual media, will mark the official launch of Icron’s USB 3-2-1 Raven™ extender series through a live demonstration during the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2018 show at the RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands, February 6^th through 9th.
The USB 3-2-1 Raven 3104 is the world’s first and only backward compatible USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) extender system for up to 100m over a single CAT 6a/7 cable, making it ideal for USB 3.1 web conference cameras as well as any other USB 3.1, 2.0 or 1.1 application, while the USB 3-2-1 Raven 3124 provides up to 200m extension over OM3 fiber with additional isolation suitable for medical and secure environments.
Both FCC/CE certified Raven extender models include an Ethernet side channel for LAN pass-through and incorporate the ExtremeUSB-C™ suite of features such as transparent USB extension supporting USB 3, 2 and 1, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, macOS™, Linux® and Chrome OS™.
