SHAKOPEE, Minn. —  RTI, a leading control and automation manufacturer for residential and commercial settings, today announced that its RTiQ cloud-based remote monitoring platform was honored with a Residential Systems 2018 Best of Show Award at CEDIA Expo 2018. Now available, the remote management solution makes it simple for dealers to monitor their clients’ AV installations, get real-time notifications of failures, and quickly resolve issues with the touch of a button.
“This prestigious award from Residential Systems speaks volumes to the value and functionality delivered by our RTiQ platform,” said Brett Stokke, Director of Marketing, RTI. “The response by our dealers has been amazing, as they see the benefits of lower operating costs and enhanced customer service. Since its release in July, we already have over 2,000 systems set up with RTiQ worldwide.”
RTiQ can be configured to monitor RTI control ecosystems and components controlled by an RTI XP control processor. Dealers can monitor the status of these devices via a dashboard from anywhere in the world and receive email and text notifications that alert them if a failure occurs. Once alerted, the dashboard helps them identify the cause of the issue and allows custom actions to be triggered to restore the failed system or component. Customizable actions include anything the control system is capable of, whether it’s rebooting devices, running macros, or sending commands.
Easily configured using RTI’s Integration Designer® programming software, RTiQ gives dealers the tools they need to deliver a better experience to their customers. System downtime is dramatically reduced since RTiQ eliminates the need for service calls to address simple issues such as locked-up components. Furthermore, with email and text alerts, these issues can often be resolved before the client is even aware of them.
