CEDIA Expo 2020 is going on right now, all across the series of tubes called the internet. The show has gone online as CEDIA Expo Virtual September 15-17. We’re still doing our due diligence and going around the virtual space checking out all kinds of companies. Today we sit down with Director of Channel Marketing for Sonance Mike Cleary to talk about the diverse range of products from the family of companies around Sonance. We discuss James Loudspeaker’s acquisition and how they have grown in that time. We also get a look at the new Invisible Series of speakers and what sets them apart from other speakers.

The Sonance virtual booth can be found here.

In 1989, CEDIA was founded by a group of professionals dedicated to innovating the then-fledgling Audiovisual industry. It has since grown from being considered a hobby to one of the largest industries for manufacturers, distributors and integrators on both the commercial and residential side. What started as a show in Amelia Island, FL hosting 500 attendees has become one of the premier venues for showcasing up-and-coming technology for our industry. CEDIA Expo 2020 was scheduled to take place in person in Denver, CO on September 8-12. Since then the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many events including CEDIA to be postponed or cancelled. Instead, CEDIA has worked to bring the show’s experience online as part of CEDIA Expo Virtual taking place September 15-17.
