Avocor and Google Gave an Exclusive First-Look at New Collaboration Solutions

Avocor and Google showcased their latest collaboration the Desk 27 and Board 65 at Google headquarters in New York, which aimed to make meetings more effective, productive, and equitable. The two companies wanted to make user-friendly technology while bringing interactive collaboration to the workplace.

The event opened with the latest updates from Google Meets. Since the pandemic, Google has rolled out around 100 new capabilities for their Google Meet platform. Some of the new updates include built-in Interop with Cisco and Webex devices, multi-camera support, and a companion mode that allows participants to join in a meeting with another device for more control in a meeting. These updates, combined with the newest hardware are designed to bring collaboration back to the workplace.

Avocor has been in the workspace collaboration space since 2016. The company focuses on providing technology that brings teams together while increasing productivity. The partnership with Google has been three years in the making with a commitment to provide an immersive meeting experience.

The two new products, the Desk 27 and Board 65, boast similar features including crystal clear video and a touchscreen that comes with a stylus. Desk 27 and Board 65 allow participants to manage, schedule, and join meetings with just a simple tap. Both feature Jamboard app support and TrueVoice audio, supported by Google AI. Both Google Workspace devices offer a user-friendly, sleek design. The noise-canceling technology blocks out any and all background noise, making it easier to hear all the participants in the meeting. What sets the hardware apart from each is, of course, the application uses for both.

The Desk 27 works as a desk monitor, digital whiteboard, and laptop docking station. The 27” monitor is best used for more personal use while the Board 65 is designed for conference and hybrid rooms. The 65” board comes equipped with a PTZ camera, making sure all participants are in frame.

Desk 27 is slated for release in May 2022 while the Board 65 is scheduled for
August. Learn more about the products over at Avocor’s website. Catch Avocor and Google in San Francisco on April 20 for a hands-on experience with the Google Meet Series One Desk 27 and Board 65 for the first time in the U.S. market.
