Kordz Brings its Popular Termination Challenge to CEDIA Tech + Business Summits

Kordz offers professional-grade cabling and networking components, enabling industry partners to focus on big picture, simplify deployment, and meet evolving cabling requirements in residential and commercial environments.

Kordz has introduced the Termination Challenge to allow systems techs to experience first-hand the installation and performance benefits of next-generation connectivity solutions. This competition, held at trade shows globally and now in the U.S. with the support of CEDIA and Future Ready Solutions, tests participants’ termination skills in a beat-the-clock format with prizes and bragging rights on the line.

The Termination Challenge aims to educate systems techs about the importance of proper termination techniques for network cables while showcasing the benefits of Kordz’ high-quality connectivity solutions. By providing a fun and competitive environment, the challenge encourages participants to improve their skills and understand how Kordz products can enhance installation efficiency and profitability. This initiative also helps promote Kordz’ brand and differentiate their products in the competitive AV industry.

Kordz believes the best way to understand the installation and performance benefits of next-generation, high-quality connectivity solutions is by experiencing them first-hand. Introduced to the custom AV industry at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2023, the Kordz Termination Challenge gives systems techs a chance to do just that. Open to all levels of experience, the beat-the-clock format, with prizes and bragging rights on the line, was a huge hit and has been ever since at trade shows around the globe, cementing the lively, hands-on contest as a popular staple of Kordz’ trade show exhibits.

Now, with the support of CEDIA and Kordz’ U.S. distributor, Future Ready Solutions, Kordz brings this friendly competition to systems techs across the U.S., allowing them to put their termination skills to the test. The 2024 attendees of the CEDIA Tech + Business Summit are invited to compete in the Termination Challenge Powered by Kordz with the first in the series kicking off on March 19 in Orange County, California.

“The Kordz Termination Challenge has expanded globally and proven itself to be a fun and rewarding way for systems technicians, who are often competitive by nature, to learn how to terminate network cables quickly and properly and to prove themselves amongst their friends,” says Kordz managing director, James Chen. “It’s a great way to introduce systems technicians to our range and demonstrate how the small but significant differentiating features in the design, construction and manufacture of our connectivity solutions – something we call ‘Kordzification’ – can have a big impact on installation efficiency and profitability for systems technicians.”

The all-time challenge time to beat globally is currently 35”05 achieved by Australian Nathan Wood of Seven Sounds at Sydney trade show, Integrate 2023.
