SCT Launches RCU3SL 4K30 USB 3.2 Extender to Solve USB 3 Video Bar and PTZ Camera Integration Challenges

Sound Control Technologies (SCT) has launched the RCU3SL, a new 4K30 USB 3.2 extender designed to simplify the integration of modern video bars and PTZ cameras in conferencing setups. With USB 3 becoming the standard for high-quality video and advanced camera features, the RCU3SL solves the common problem of extending USB 3 connections over longer distances—up to 100 meters—using just a single CAT cable.

The RCU3SL, powered by SCT’s SCTLink technology, supports video, audio, USB 3.2, RS232 control, and up to 36W of power, all through one cable. It’s fully compatible with popular solutions like Poly Studio, Logitech Rally, Biamp Parlé, and Sennheiser TeamConnect Bars, making it a practical, all-in-one solution for IT teams looking to streamline conferencing installations.

Sound Control Technologies (SCT), the leader in camera, codec, and tabletop technology solutions, unveils the RCU3SLä—a 4K30 USB 3.2 extension system designed for seamless integration with today’s USB 3-enabled video bars and PTZ cameras.

Powered by SCTLinkä, the RCU3SL delivers USB 3.2 with up to 36W of power, DC power up to 36W, video, audio, and RS232 control over a single CAT cable up to 100 meters—streamlining installations. It’s purpose-built for compatibility with top-tier video bar solutions including the Poly Studio Series, Logitech Rally, Biamp Parlé Series, Sennheiser TeamConnect Bars, and more.

“Video bars and PTZ cameras are all moving to USB 3 to support higher video quality and advanced features—but extending USB 3 over distance has been a real challenge,” says Founder, CEO and President of SCT, David Neaderland. “By evolving our SCTLink technology to support USB 3.2, we’re delivering power, video, audio, and RS-232 control over a single Cat 6A U/FTP cable—ideal for today’s next-generation conferencing systems.”
