Emerald DESKVUE PE From Black Box Wins 2025 NAB Show Product of the Year Award

Black Box has been honored with the 2025 NAB Show Product of the Year Award for its Emerald® DESKVUE PE, winning in the Remote Production category. This innovative IP KVM receiver allows users to view multiple systems as resizable windows across up to four 4K monitors — even on an ultrawide 5K screen — and switch between them seamlessly just by moving the mouse. It’s built to give IT professionals and content creators more control, better workflow visibility, and a smarter way to manage complex environments without manual toggling.

Adding to its capabilities, the Emerald® AV WALL feature makes it easy to share any single system view on a video wall — now scalable up to a 4×4 layout — for team-based operations or larger viewing groups. This marks Black Box’s second win at NAB, reinforcing the company’s commitment to user-driven innovation in AV and control room solutions.

Black Box^®, a leading digital infrastructure solution provider, today announced that its Emerald® DESKVUE PE is a remote production category winner in the 2025 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards. This official awards program recognizes some of the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by exhibitors at the 2025 NAB Show.

The Emerald DESKVUE PE Multi-Source, Multi-View IP KVM receiver enables all systems to be displayed as individual windows on up to four 4K monitors, including one ultrawide curved 5K monitor. Users can arrange, resize, or move/drag system “tiles” or “windows” across the connected monitors, allowing superior flexibility and viewing options to the desktop “canvas.” Seamless switching of the systems happens automatically in the background as users move their mouse from one connected system to another — so there is no need for manual switching.

Emerald® AV WALL, a software feature native to Emerald DESKVUE, makes it easy to display a single source from an Emerald system on a 2×2 video wall for viewing by a larger group. This year Black Box has made it even simpler to upgrade and add a 4×4 video wall solution.

This is the second NAB Show Product of the Year award for Black Box. In 2023, Emerald DESKVUE took home the prestigious accolade in the hardware infrastructure category.

NAB Show Product of the Year Award Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 16 categories and announced in a live awards ceremony at NAB Show on April 8. To be eligible for an award, nominated products had to come from companies exhibiting at the 2025 NAB Show and be delivered within the 2025 calendar year.
