Modern Atomics is expanding its manufacturing capabilities and dealer support with a new advanced manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas, and a dealer training and logistics center in Round Rock. The expansion is expected to triple production capacity for its Edge AI low-voltage power supplies and PoE/PoF switching infrastructure, while improving product availability, shipping efficiency, and support for dealers.
The company is also entering the Canadian market through a distribution partnership with TIMESTYLES Motorized Window Fashions, giving Canadian dealers, integrators, and designers access to its motorized shading power solutions and round-the-clock support. Additionally, Modern Atomics COO and co-founder Judy Salazar has been recognized as a 2026 Top Window Fashion Executive by Window Fashion VISION Magazine.
Modern Atomics, an innovator in power distribution for motorized window coverings, announced a major expansion anchored by its participation in a new Edge AI semiconductor fabrication facility in Austin. The company also opened a dealer training and logistics center in Round Rock, expanded distribution into Canada through TIMESTYLES Motorized Window Fashions, and celebrates COO and co-founder Judy Salazar’s recognition as a 2026 top window covering executive by Window Fashion VISION Magazine.
New Edge AI Foundry and State-of-the-Art Factory Modern Atomics has broken ground as a founding member of a new Edge AI foundry and advanced manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas. The semiconductor fabrication plant (FAB) will produce integrated circuits and other semiconductor devices using cleanrooms and specialized equipment designed for high-quality microchip manufacturing.
Edge AI processes data locally on devices at the edge of a network rather than relying on centralized cloud servers. This approach can accelerate processing, reduce latency, and keep sensitive data closer to its source. Since launching in 2024, Modern Atomics has established itself as an innovator in power distribution technology as the company’s AI-enabled power distribution units improve specification, installation, setup, and energy efficiency.
“Once the facility is completed and operational late next year, it will triple Modern Atomics’ production capacity for advanced Edge AI low-voltage power supplies and PoE/PoF switching infrastructure,” said Michael Braithwaite, chief biological officer of Modern Atomics.
New Dealer Training and Logistics Center On November 1, Modern Atomics will open the doors of its new dealer training and logistics center located at 2700 Louis Henna Blvd, Suite 100, Round Rock, TX, 78664. This facility will host monthly in-person dealer training sessions and double the company’s shipping capacity for all products, which will reduce product lead times and lower shipping costs. The facility also enables the company to now offer 24/7 will-call orders for all Texas dealers.
COO Judy Salazar Recognized as a Top 2026 Window Fashion Executive “We are proud that our Chief Operating Officer and co-founder Judy Salazar was recognized by Window Fashion VISION Magazine for a 2026 Top Window Fashion Executive. Judy runs the day-to-day business and ensures production lines are running, and she also heads up the Quality control team,” said Braithwaite.
Modern Atomics Expands into Canada with TIMESTYLES Motorized Window Fashions Modern Atomics has partnered with Canadian custom shade manufacturer TIMESTYLES as its first Canadian distribution partner. TIMESTYLES will serve Canadian dealers, integrators, and designers as a central resource for product inquiries and distribution, backed by Modern Atomics’ Texas headquarters and 24/7/365 live support. The companies formalized the partnership at CEDIA Expo 2026.
TIMESTYLES owner Jason Lew discovered Modern Atomics through its CEDIA product video and recognized the company’s understanding of motorized-shading installers. “On a Hilton project, our team spent a week troubleshooting why seven larger motors would not respond while five smaller motors ran normally,” said Lew. “The PoE++ switch was not negotiating the correct power class, and we ultimately needed seven individual injectors. A purpose-built, field-tested solution could have turned that week into a clean installation.”
“TIMESTYLES brings deep custom shade manufacturing expertise and is an ideal partner for Modern Atomics in Canada,” said John Bartkowiak, owner of ProTech Agencies and Modern Atomics’ Canadian sales representative firm. “Both companies share a commitment to creative, practical power solutions.”
