Vanco Releases TAA-Compliant Cable Line

Vanco International has launched a new line of TAA-compliant cables, including HDMI and USB options, designed specifically for use in federally-funded and security-sensitive IT and AV projects. The lineup includes both Performance and Pro Series HDMI cables supporting up to 4K video and advanced audio formats, as well as USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C cables supporting high-speed data transfer and power delivery. All cables are backed by Vanco’s lifetime warranty and designed for mission-critical environments.

This release is important because TAA compliance is essential for any tech deployed in federal, military, or federally-funded state and educational institutions. Vanco’s cables, manufactured in Laos (a TAA-approved country), make it easier for integrators to meet these requirements without compromising on performance or reliability.

Vanco International LLC, an industry leader in AV distribution and electronic accessory products, today announces a new line of TAA-compliant cables suitable for any federally-funded project or sensitive application. Vanco’s new TAA-compliant cable line includes HDMI, USB Type A to Type C, and USB Type C to Type C cables in a variety of lengths. Like all Vanco A/V cables, these cables are backed by a lifetime warranty, so integrators can deploy them in mission-critical applications with confidence.

The New Cable Line-Up

Vanco’s new TAA-compliant high-speed HDMI cables with Ethernet include the T255 “Performance Series” and the TPRHD “Pro Series.” The T255 Performance Series, available in 1-, 3-, or 6-foot lengths, delivers HDMI 1.4 with 10.2Gbps high-speed data transfer. It supports video resolutions up to 4K, and features a 100 Mbps HDMI Ethernet channel, 3D compatibility, and ARC functionality. The TPRHD Pro Series delivers HDMI 2.0 functionality with full 18Gbps bandwidth, enabling 4K resolution at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma and HDR support. It also accommodates up to 32 audio channels with ARC, including advanced formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio, and is EMI-tested for minimal wireless interference, The Pro series is available in 1-, 3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, or 20-foot lengths. Both series feature robust SecureFit connectors, pull-tested up to 7 lbs.

Vanco’s TAA-compliant USB cables can connect anything from legacy to gear to next-generation solutions.  The TUS2AC USB-A to USB-C series supports USB 2.0: With 480 Mbps data throughput, these cables are five times faster than USB 1.1 connections. The TUS2CC USB-C to USB-C Cable Series meets USB 3.1 Gen 1 standards with power delivery, high speed device charging, and up to 5Gbps high speed data transfer. For the most advanced devices, the TUS3CC USB-C to USB-C Cable Series supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, with up to 10Gbps high speed data transfer as well as high speed charging and power delivery. All Vanco USB cables are fully backwards-compatible with earlier USB standards.

Why TAA Compliance Matters

TAA-compliant products must be made or “substantially altered” in the United States or a designated trading partner nation. All federal and military projects, as well as state and local government or education projects receiving federal funds, are required to use TAA-compliant products. Vendors who cannot prove compliance may be disqualified from bidding or even face legal consequences. Vanco’s new line of TAA-compliant cables, made in Laos, make it significantly easier to spec and bid on federally-funded projects or any project requiring TAA adherence.

A Full Suite of TAA-Compliant Solutions

Vanco’s TAA-compliant cables are the latest addition to the company’s already extensive selection of TAA-compliant products, which also includes:

  • The award-winning EVO-IP AVoIP product line, including EVO-IP 2.0.
  • Audio amplifiers, including powerful rack-mountable solutions and in-wall streaming amplifiers.
  • Video distribution products, including HDMI extenders, splitters, and matrix switch selectors.
  • Audio accessories such as extenders, D/A and A/D converters, and mixers.
  • A wide selection of mounting solutions and fire-rated fixture and speaker covers.

With the addition of this robust selection of cables, integrators can meet a wide range of A/V infrastructure needs for TAA-compliant projects from the Vanco catalog alone.

“TAA compliance is about more than adherence to the letter of the law,” says Aaron Rozanski, Director of Distribution Markets, Vanco. “It’s about security and reliability. Even non-governmental organizations often require TAA compliance to ensure that any technology in the building is sourced from a friendly nation. Vanco offers a full suite of TAA-compliant solutions for sensitive applications, so meeting this demand is never a hassle.”
