Bond has teamed up with Vertilux to launch the VTi Nexus Bridge powered by Bond, a smart hub designed specifically for Vertilux’s 2-way RF-controlled Re-Lion window shade motors. This collaboration brings Bond’s reliable RF-to-WiFi control and seamless smart home integration to Vertilux customers. The Bridge connects easily with popular home automation platforms like Control4, Crestron, and josh.ai, as well as voice assistants such as Alexa and Google Assistant, making smart shade control simple and intuitive.
Developed jointly by Bond’s engineering team and Vertilux, the Bridge not only offers smooth operation but also provides real-time feedback, such as shade position and battery status, directly in the Bond Home App. This bi-directional control gives users a more connected and intelligent experience, reflecting both companies’ commitment to advancing smart home automation for modern living spaces.
Bond has created a special version of its award-winning RF-to-WiFi Bond Bridge Pro device hub for Vertilux. Sold by Vertilux, the new VTi Nexus Bridge powered by Bond brings Bond’s category-leading smart set-up and control experience to Vertilux’s 2-way RF-controlled Re-Lion window shade motors. The Bridge also allows for integration of the Vertilux shade motors with CEDIA channel home automation platforms.
The VTi Nexus Bridge leverages the Bond Home App, delivering intuitive and consolidated control right from the smartphone. One Bridge can operate as many as fifty motorized shades in a 3,500 sq. ft. area – and for jobs consisting of more than fifty, multiple Bridges can be used. The App is compatible with popular virtual assistance platforms like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and the Bridge also easily integrates with leading home automation platforms Control4, Crestron, josh.ai, and others.
Vertilux customers can purchase the new VTi Nexus Bridge powered by Bond directly from Vertilux. For more information visit the company’s website: www.vertilux.com. Tech support for the Bridge is provided by Bond: https://olibra.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
The Bond engineering team worked closely with Vertilux to co-develop the Bridge for the Re-Lion shade motors. Leveraging the bi-directionality of these special 2-way RF-controlled motors, the Bond Home App delivers state feedback (status of shades operations – open, close) and each shade motor’s battery status.
“Vertilux is very innovative here in that the VTi Nexus Bridge is truly a bi-directional and unidirectional integration. This means that in addition to all the benefits that the Bond Home App is known for, the Vertilux customer can also view state feedback and battery status directly in the App. These are features and capabilities that custom integration specialists in the home automation industry seek,” says Bond CEO Zohar Shinar.
“We’ve gone all in with Bond to bring the smartest window shade control to our retail, integration, and shade manufacturer partners,” says Anabel Sirio, Vertilux Motorization R&D Manager. “The Bond Bridge technology is the window shade industry’s leading smart control platform, making this an easy decision for us, and working with Bond’s engineering team was a wonderful experience. We are proud to have such a strong and supportive tech partner.”
