Cisco Growth in Washington: Unveiling the DC Cisco Showcase

Cisco has expanded its office at The Wharf in Washington, DC, unveiling a brand-new Cisco Showcase that highlights its full range of future-ready workplace technologies. With more than 2,200 employees across the DC metro area, the upgraded space doubles Cisco’s footprint and reinforces its long-term commitment to supporting federal agencies, public sector teams, and the region’s fast-growing tech ecosystem.

The new DC Showcase brings Cisco’s vision of an AI-powered, future-proof workplace to life through advanced collaboration devices, secure networking, Wi-Fi 7, Meraki smart cameras, and real estate optimization powered by Cisco Spaces. Designed for flexibility, productivity, and safety, the office gives customers and partners a hands-on view of how Cisco technology transforms modern work environments.

Today, we unveiled the newest Cisco Showcase as part of our office expansion at The Wharf in DC. Located at 1000 Maine, our office footprint has now more than doubled. Featuring the complete portfolio of Cisco’s future-proofed workplace technologies, this office will serve as a hub for employees, customers and partners to experience a variety of use cases that are designed for the AI era and shaping the future of work.

Investing in Our Nation’s Capital

With over 2,200 employees in the Washington, DC, and surrounding Maryland and Virginia metro area, Cisco’s expanded office footprint in The Wharf provides employees with greater flexibility and the latest tools to best serve our customers.

Cisco’s offices are designed to showcase and deliver the latest technology that organizations need to build modern, efficient workplaces. As home to Cisco’s public sector and government affairs team, our new office at the DC Wharf is a testament to Cisco’s commitment to supporting the District of Columbia, the U.S. Federal government, and the broader business ecosystem calling DC home.

Cisco has had a presence in DC for nearly three decades. With DC’s vibrant talent pool and as a growing tech hub, we’re committed to expanding our local footprint, investing in this key market and creating new opportunities to showcase the value of our technology.

Joining the ranks of other Cisco Showcases in New York, Atlanta, Austin, San Jose, and Paris, this office demonstrates how Cisco’s workplace technologies can help organizations not only prepare to meet today’s challenges but also thrive in the future. Cisco Showcases attract hundreds of customer and partner visitors each year to tour our offices and experience our technology firsthand. We look forward to attracting visitors to The Wharf.

Bringing Cisco’s Future-Proofed Workplace to Life

The third floor serves as a Customer Showcase: providing customers with opportunities to see and experience the power of Cisco’s solutions at work.

The DC Wharf site demonstrates Cisco’s vision for a future-proofed workplace by integrating our latest collaboration, security, Power over Ethernet (PoE), and networking solutions. The office expansion features a full suite of flexible workspaces, quiet areas, huddle rooms, a reflection room, outdoor spaces, and large meeting spaces to support our employees, partners and customer engagements. This also includes:

• Frictionless employee experiences and boosted productivity: Cisco Collaboration devices like Cisco Desk Series and Cisco Board Pro devices make connection feel seamless, achieving “Distance Zero” and supporting all the ways people work, enhanced further by the power of Cisco AI Assistant.

• Driving efficiency and cost savings with insights for real estate management: Every Cisco Collaboration device is a sensor, making it easy to track room usage and environmental data. Cisco Spaces turns that data into insights, helping optimize our furniture, room layouts, workspace distribution, and HVAC systems for our workforce — revolutionizing real estate management in the process. Cisco Spaces can also assist with indoor navigation and wayfinding, further enhancing employee experience and workplace efficiency.

• Ensuring high performance and agility: This flexible and scalable campus experience is powered by Cisco Switching and Wi-Fi 7 solutions that deliver a high performance, secure network foundation. They provide the scale and simple operations to power every modern application, from immersive collaboration to data-intensive AI.

• Enhanced safety and security: We create a safe, trusted, and responsive environment through integrated digital and physical security. Our Cisco Meraki MV Smart Cameras provide intelligent monitoring, using advanced object detection and occupancy data to enhance physical safety.

The DC Showcase is shaping how we work at Cisco, serving as yet another model for a future-proofed workplace that is secure, adaptable, and ready for what’s next. Only Cisco unifies networking with security, observability and collaboration to create workplaces that are truly future-proofed, anywhere work happens.

On behalf of Cisco, thank you to everyone who is helping celebrate this special occasion. To our employees, customers, partners, and the entire DC community: thank you for your trust and collaboration.
