PlexusAV has announced the global availability of its P-AVN-6-S IPMX transceiver, expanding its AV-over-IP portfolio with a solution that bridges traditional SDI infrastructure and modern IP-based workflows. Designed for broadcast, live production and professional AV environments, the transceiver supports both uncompressed video and JPEG XS over existing network infrastructure, including 4K60 video, 12G-SDI connectivity and 10GbE/25GbE network support.
The P-AVN-6-S also features PTP-to-Genlock conversion, ST 2022-7 network redundancy, Dante and AES67 audio transport, and NMOS support for improved interoperability and system management. With IPMX certification and a HETMA Gold Award for Best AV-over-IP Product, the solution gives AV and IT professionals more flexibility to transition to IP-based production without rebuilding their existing networks.
PlexusAV, the professional AV division of Sencore, has announced that its flagship P-AVN-6-S IPMX transceiver is now available globally. The P-AVN-6-S is IPMX product certified and completes the company’s AV-over-IP portfolio by providing a bridge between traditional SDI infrastructure and modern IP-based workflows. It runs uncompressed or JPEG XS video from the same unit, over the network a facility already has.
Designed for live production, broadcast and professional AV environments where signal integrity, timing precision and interoperability are critical, the P-AVN-6-S supports uncompressed video over IPMX and SMPTE ST 2110-compliant networks up to 4K60. Native 12G-SDI input and output, HDMI loop out and dual SFP28 interfaces supporting 10GbE and 25GbE enable integration with existing baseband infrastructure and high-performance IP networks. JPEG XS support extends the same unit to standard 1GbE infrastructure, so a single model can serve both a high-performance production core and an everyday enterprise network. No additional software licenses are required for ST 2110 or IPMX operation.
The P-AVN-6-S also features integrated PTP-to-Genlock conversion, synchronizing SDI outputs to IP-based timing. Support for SMPTE ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy across independent primary and secondary network paths helps maintain continuity in demanding production environments.
The product’s credentials were further strengthened in August, when the P-AVN-6-S was certified at the second IPMX Product Testing and Certification Event. Hosted in Geneva by the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), the Video Services Forum (VSF) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the event expanded testing to include security and compression. The P-AVN-6-S has also received the HETMA Gold Award for Best AV-over-IP Product.
“The P-AVN-6-S is now available via our global reseller and distribution network,” said Steven Cogels, Director of Business Development at PlexusAV. “Most facilities want IPMX without rebuilding their network to get it. The P-AVN-6-S runs uncompressed on 25GbE where that infrastructure exists, and JPEG XS on the 1GbE network that’s already in the building. It’s one product with nothing to unlock later, built for customers where broadcast and Pro AV increasingly overlap.”
Additional features include Dante and AES67 audio transport for up to eight audio channels, NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 discovery and connection management, an open REST API, web-based configuration and integration with PlexusAV Visual Array for centralized management.
PlexusAV now offers a portfolio spanning compressed and uncompressed AV-over-IP workflows, hybrid SDI/IP infrastructure, audio transport and enterprise AV integration, built around open standards and cross-vendor interoperability. Additional new products will be launched at ISE 2027 that will strengthen PlexusAV’s position in the market even further.
