Dirac Live Room Correction Expands to Additional Denon® AV Receivers

Dirac has expanded support for its Dirac Live Room Correction technology to more Denon AV receivers, including the AVR-X2900H, AVR-X3900H, AVR-X2900H DAB, and AVC-X3900H. The update gives home theater users access to advanced room correction features that improve sound clarity, imaging, and overall audio performance by optimizing playback according to the acoustics of the room. With this move, Dirac aims to make premium sound calibration more accessible to a wider audience of AV enthusiasts and integrators.

The newly supported Denon receivers are designed for immersive multi-channel entertainment and come with HEOS integration for connected home audio experiences. Higher-end models such as the AVR-X3900H also support advanced features like Dirac Live Bass Control and Active Room Treatment, offering better low-frequency management and room integration. Dirac Live Room Correction will be available as an upgrade for these models starting May 18.

Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac today announced that its Dirac Live Room Correction solution will be available on additional Denon receivers, the Denon AVR-X2900H, AVR-X3900H, AVR-X2900H DAB, and AVC-X3900H.

The expanded availability brings Dirac’s industry-leading room correction technology to a broader range of home theater systems, enabling more users to experience sound that is optimized not only for their equipment, but for the room itself.

Dirac Live Room Correction addresses both magnitude and phase distortions introduced by the listening space, delivering improved clarity, more precise imaging, and a more consistent listening experience across multiple seating positions. By calibrating the system to the space, Dirac Live ensures sound is reproduced as intended, regardless of layout or acoustic challenges.

“Great sound isn’t defined by components alone, it’s defined by how those components interact with the space,” said Rikard Hellerfelt, VP & Head of BA Consumer Electronics at Dirac. “Expanding Dirac Live to the Denon receiver lineup continues to make advanced room correction more accessible, giving more listeners the ability to hear their systems as they were meant to perform – regardless of the listening space or its complexities.”

The Denon AVR-X2900H, AVR-X3900H, AVR-X2900H DAB, and AVC-X3900H are AV receivers built for multi-channel home audio and video playback.

Powered by HEOS™, the lineup is designed to support immersive home entertainment experiences across both dedicated theater rooms and everyday living spaces. The addition of Dirac Live Room Correction to Denon’s AVR-X2900H 7.2-channel AVR provides customers with a meaningful upgrade path. Meanwhile, the AVR-X3900H, with its 11.4-channel processing and four independent subwoofer outputs, delivers even greater potential when paired with Dirac Live Bass Control and Active Room Treatment, significantly improving low-frequency performance and overall room integration, providing more options for customers to choose from.

Dirac Live Room Correction will be available as an upgrade for the Denon AVR-X2900H, AVR-X3900H, AVR-X2900H DAB, and AVC-X3900H beginning May 18th.
